MORE ABOUT JINJUR
Jinjur grew up in the wild woods of the pacific northwest, where she developed her spiritual roots in the cathedrals of nature. Attracted to the healing arts from a young age, her mother was her first spiritual teacher and introduced her to the world of energy work early on. She took her first yoga class at 16 and has continued diving into the beautiful practices of self discovery and wellness via meditation, breathwork, bodywork, and energy healing ever since. In 2013 she traveled to Thailand to learn traditional Thai Massage, and has continued deepening her understanding of the art with many amazing masters around the world, developing her own style of bodywork that is both precise and intuitive.
In 2015 she completed her 200h Yoga Alliance Teacher Training at Ashtanga Yoga Paris and quickly began teaching there and around Paris. As an eternal student, you can often find her participating in courses that deepen her understanding of this human experience. You may find her assisting her primary teacher Krishnatakis at Sunshine House Greece or around Europe.
She advocates and practices Non Violent Communication and empathetic listening, with the wish to bring more compassion and harmony into the world. It is Jinjur’s deep wish to bring all of these aspects together in the most supportive and comprehensive offering possible – Connection to nature, connection to self, connection through community. Through these paths, she hopes to support you on your journey to complete wellness in whichever way you need.
WHY DEVADARU?
Deva Dāru, or the Deodar Cedar is one of India’s most revered spiritual trees. Its name literally translates to ‘wood of the Gods’, and Hindu literature is rife with stories about holy men, sages, and deities meditating in the sacred Devadaru forests of the Himalayas. Its fragrant scent aids in spiritual awakening, its bark and resin is potent medicine for a variety of ills, and the wood itself is used for building temples throughout the sacred sites of India.
As a child, Jinjur lived in a house that had a Deodar Cedar growing on site that her mom was especially fond of. It is in honor of her mother, her first teacher, that Devadaru Wellness is named.
